PDO Mono threads are single, smooth threads composed of a dissolvable material called PDO, polydioxanone. PDO is an absorbance polymer that has been used for many years as a suture material in surgical (including cardiac) procedures and wound closure. PDO is completely safe and disolves within the body over 4 to 6 months. While it remains in the body, it promotes collagen generation, and you will likely continue to see result for a full year after insertion.

PDO Mono Thread

Mono threads, or short threads, are designed to perform a revitalization skin treatment for skin tightening and wrinkle reduction. By being inserted into the skin in a mesh-like pattern, between 10 and 20 mono threads can be inserted into the skin to encourage skin tightening and rejuvenation. Threads are attached to an anchoring point on the scalp or face, which increases the tightness of the skin. Mono threads, however, are said to tighten the skin but not significantly lift it which is why they are typically combined with cog threads for a more lifting effect.
